Hornets Take 2nd Overall At Molly Dry

The Wellsboro Boys Track team finished 2nd overall with 122 points at Thursday's Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University.
Hughesville won the meet with 201 points and Jersey Shore was 3rd with 119.
Junior Jonathan Carl was 6th in the 100m (11.87) with junior Jacoby Strang (11.95) in 2nd, junior Aaron Kirk (25.37) was 12th in the 200m, Carl won the 400m (52.08), junior Jude Cuneo (2:09.80) was 8th in the 800m, and junior Max Macias was 3rd in the 1600m (4:45.82) and 2nd in the 3200m (10:35.38). Senior Micah Vickery (16.19) was 2nd in the 110m hurdles, junior David Seeling (43.53) was 4th in the 300m hurdles, and junior Ethan Geneski (9:23.70) was 12th in the steeplechase.
Wellsboro took 4th in the 4x100m (46.25), 4th in the 4x400m (3:48.43) and 2nd in the 4x800m (8:55.33).
Seeling won the high jump (5-ft, 10), senior Micaiah Fitch won the long jump (19-ft, 6.75) and was 2nd in the triple jump (39-ft, 10.25), and senior Gabe Carpenter (10-ft, 6) was 3rd in the pole vault.
Junior Jacob Thurstin (89-ft, 1) was 17th in the discus, sophomore Jacob Smith (112-ft, 7) was 7th in the javelin, and freshman Ransom Schultz (31-ft, 10.25) was 17th in the shot put.
The Hornets return to action Tuesday at home against Northeast Bradford.
